Summertime changes
Posted by Aurora Davidson on
It’s an understatement to say that life has certainly changed with covid-19, The ways in which we go about our daily lives has turned completely upside down. Personally I am missing the connections that I have enjoyed for many summers sharing my artwork at Waitsfield and Stowe Farmers’ markets with people who visit our beautiful state of Vermont. The details of my landscape collages have always elicited great conversations about nature and were often more important than my sales. Concerns with the environment, global warming, botany, gardening and creativity are just a few of the topics that have inspired me throughout the years. Unfortunately the way that I have traditionally done business through these venues has changed for me and I have been prompted to shift to an online presence to showcase some of my artwork. Living on the western slopes of Camel’s Hump I have never had access to the internet until now and it’s definitely uncharted territory for me to navigate. I’m a lover of nature and spend most of my time, whatever season, wandering fields and trails where I sit, watch and listen to all the beauty that surrounds this place I call home. Screen time is a concept that I’m not used to, yet as people are zooming and making virtual connections I suppose this may be a different approach for me to stretch into that world. Thanks for taking the time to view my website and read my ramblings as I wander on land and share my discoveries with you.
